Note that we offer three ensembles to choose from:

  3. Fredericktowne Trio (one violin, one flute, and one cello).

Our years of experience of performing at weddings has shown us that most ceremonies require between 90 minutes and 2 hours of performance time, and we do not book wedding ceremonies for less than 90 minutes.  This is to ensure that you have sufficient time in the event of any unexpected delays.

If your wedding ceremony is at the same location as your reception, 2 to 2
½ hours will usually cover the ceremony plus the cocktail hour.  Three to four hours will usually cover the ceremony, cocktail, and dinner hours.

Bookings are made in half-hour increments.  Note that Saturdays from May through October fill quickly, so inquire early to avoid disappointment.    Bookings can be made as far as 18 months in advance.  We will send you the necessary paperwork to book your event.

Note that we can also work with your vocalist, pianist, or organist, and can provide a trumpeter upon request [for an additional fee].

For a truly magnificent sound in a church setting, consider hiring a quartet to perform along with your organist.  The combination of the power of the organ and the elegance of the quartet creates an unforgettable setting that our clients report has their guests talking about long after the wedding is over.

We are happy to perform in an outdoor setting; however, please note that outdoor performances require
complete protection from the elements.  Outdoor performances are not possible in extreme weather conditions that impede our ability to perform or risk damaging our instruments (e.g., direct sun, precipitation, or very cold temperatures).   Note that complete shade is required for outdoor performances.  The shade can be provided by a roof, canopy, or large umbrella.  A shade tree is unacceptable as the only form of protection from the elements, as trees are prone to drop branches, leaves, water, or other elements on our instruments, and do not usually provide complete protection from sunlight.

Depending on your wedding site location, it may be necessary for you to arrange with the facility for rental of a canopy (10 foot or 12 foot square is generally fine).  Many facilities have a canopy available for rent, but please note that any extra expense incurred because of a canopy rental is at the contracting party's (i.e., bride/groom) expense.  The fee for renting a canopy usually ranges from $50 to $100.  We are not able to provide this canopy due to liability concerns (e.g., if the canopy blew over and injured a guest, we cannot incur this liability).  It is far better if the canopy is rented from the facility hosting your event; please be sure to include this extra expense in your wedding budget.  We are not able to negotiate or pay for a canopy on your behalf since we are not the contracting party for your wedding.

The reason we need full protection from sunlight is because of our valuable wood instruments.  Just as the sunlight can damage the varnish on your patio deck, it can be even more damaging to the varnish on our expensive instruments, resulting in serious damage even after a few minutes of sunlight.  If you end up hiring other musicians that do not require or request a canopy or other form of cover while they perform, you probably ought to be concerned about their professionalism.
