The Frederick String Quartet is composed of four string instrument musicians (two violins, a viola, and a cello). This ensemble performs music of many different styles ranging from light classical to religious songs, waltzes, jazz, show tunes, and popular music of yesterday and today. This group plays with a rich, full string sound, beautiful by itself for elegant events such as wedding ceremonies and receptions, or lovely with vocal accompaniment. For a truly magnificent sound, the string quartet can also perform with an organist or trumpet [especially appropriate for church weddings].
We also offer the Frederick Flute/String Quartet which is composed of four musicians as follows: one wind (a flute), and three strings (a violin, viola, and cello). The Flute/String Quartet performs the same repertoire as the traditional String Quartet. The addition of the flute produces a beautiful bright elegant sound.
The Fredericktowne [Flute/String] Trio is composed of three musicians: one violin, one flute, and one cello. The Trio is particularly appropriate if you love the delightfully bright sound of flute and strings together. This is an elegant sounding group and is ideal for weddings or special occasions of all sizes. The Trio is also lovely with vocal or trumpet accompaniment.
Based in Frederick, Maryland, our musical ensembles produce an atmosphere of polished refinement and elegance appropriate for many social events including weddings, receptions, celebrations, holiday parties, and anniversaries, - indoors or outdoors.
